Joan Olcott, RN, MEP-c has been practicing for 29 years.  For the last 6 years she has specialized in the area Esthetics.  Joan joined BodyNew Medspa in 2008 after running her own successful Esthetic Practice in Mesa, Arizona.  Joan has been on the staff of Esthetic Skin Institute for 5 years training hundreds of Physicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists in Botox, Dermal Fillers, Sclerotherapy and Mesotherapy. The Esthetic Skin Institue recently opened a training center at the Body Scupting Center where Joan and Leigh Giordano continue to train Medical Professionals in The Art and Science of Botox and Dermal Fillers. She has had the priveledge to work with the Arizona State Board of Nursing Scope of Practice Committee when developing a Scope of Practice for Esthetic procedures for Arizona Nurses.  Joan has over 500 hundred hours of advanced training in non-surgical skin rejuvenation. Joan is one of the founding members and Secretary of the American Association of Medical Esthetic Professionals.  Joan was also involved in developing the first nationally recognized medical esthetic certification exam in 2008.  Joan has been a member of the Scope of Practice Committee for the Arizona State Board of Nursing for the last 4 years.  She is a member of the Arizona Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, The American Association of Medical Esthetic Professionals, Certified Esthetic Nurse, Certified Medical Laser Technician Joan's goal is to assist each patient to reach their optimal beauty inside and out!  She works with clients assisting them to choose those treatments that would be the best for them, recognizing that one shoe does not fit all.  She is proficient in the use of ablative and non-ablative laser procedures, Thermage, Fraxel, Fractional, Velashape, Accent XL, Botox, Dermal Fillers,  Portrait PSR3, Tatoo removal, Melanage for Melasma and hyperpigmentation, Photofacial, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Laser Hair Removal, Regenique, Carboxy Therapy.
